- Step 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 2. Beat the 115 g butter, 150 g brown sugar, and 75 g granulated sugar until creamy.
- Step 3. Mix in the egg and 5 g vanilla.
- Step 4. In a separate bowl, combine the 220 g flour, 4 g baking soda, and 3 g salt.
- Step 5. Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and stir just until combined.
- Step 6. Fold in the 170 g chocolate chips.
- Step 7. Scoop portions of dough about 35 g each, or roughly 2 tablespoons, onto the baking sheet. Leave space between each cookie.
- Step 8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden but the centers still look slightly soft.
- Step 9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then move them to a rack.
